After-School Art Classes for Grades K-5 January 19 - March 18 Bad Dog knows how lucky he is to live in Utah, where we have a rich diversity of culture, geography, history, and opportunity. This quarter we want to celebrate by creating art inspired by our winter landscape. We will learn about environmental art, create visual stories and winter tales, and gather inspiration from our mountain ranges, deserts, and wildlife in the winter. |

Color Storm
Monday 4:00 - 6:00pm • Grades K-1 • $154 January 25 - March 14 (7 Weeks - No class on February 15) Let’s warm up this winter with a splash of color! We will mix and create colors to achieve a wild palette of winter wonder! From snowflakes and icicles, to the northern lights and snow capped mountains we will artistically explore all the beauty of winter weather. |
Textures & Tumble Weeds
Tuesday 4:00 - 6:00pm • Grades 2-3 • $198 January 19 - March 15 (9 Weeks) From white mountains to red deserts, Utah is filled with a variety of landscapes and rich with culture. Artists have traveled from all over to capture Utah’s beauty in their work. We will take a tumbling tour exploring landscape art from our classroom. Get inspired by natural textures created by wind and water, experience Utah folklore, and recreate ceramic pots by Utah’s native people. |
Darker Side of the Moon
Wednesday 4:00 - 6:00pm • Grades 4-5 • $198 January 20 - March 16 (9 Weeks) So what is on the dark side of the moon? This class is about self-exploration and expression. With an emphasis on color value, we will enhance our creativity by learning about artistic use of light and shadow through printmaking, drawing, painting, and sculpture. We will take a playful approach as we create work that is all about you. |
Furry & Feathered Friends
Thursday 4:00 - 6:00pm • Grades 2-3 • $198 January 21 - March 17 (9 Weeks) Utah is bustling with busy creatures even in the coldest nights of winter. This class will channel artistic inspiration from the winter wildlife that fills our amazing state. Exploring the possibilities of pattern development, we will create stories and sculptures and ponder the native concepts of spirit animals. |
Misty Mountain Story Boards - Extended Friday
Friday 1:00 - 5:00pm • Grades 1-5 • $290 January 22 - March 18 (9 Weeks) Take a hike through your imagination! From folklore to native myth and legend we will explore lots of ways to tell and illustrate a story. We will investigate various brainstorming techniques and learn how to construct our own stories. Learn how to make prints, craft clay, and expand drawing techniques. |
