Let your child’s creativity run wild at the Bad Dog Art Club! Each week is a new adventure in art, where kids get hands-on with all sorts of mediums, tools, and techniques. From exploring famous artists to experimenting with vibrant colors and fun materials, every session sparks ideas and builds skills in a playful, encouraging environment. These are individual classes, perfect for after school, offering young artists a chance to explore, create, and make new friends—all in a space that celebrates their unique expression!

Batik Creative Aging 2026
$50 • 55 years old & up • 3-5pm

Batik is a colorful, hands-on adventure in wax and dye. Eight easygoing Saturday sessions taught by Bad Dog Arts Co-Founder and Artistic Director Victoria Lyons, students (ages 55+ and fabulous) will learn the magic of wax-resist dyeing while creating scarves, tote bags, or a decorative wall hanging. Each week builds new skills in pattern, color, and design, with plenty of room for experimentation. No experience needed.

Cabinet of Curiosities
June 1-5, 2026 • 9am - 4pm

Exploration-based art and sculpture inspired by natural history collections. Step into a world of curiosity and creation in this exploration-based art and sculpture camp inspired by natural history collections. Like the original curiosity cabinets, we will imagine extraordinary objects, from dragon’s blood to unicorn horns. Campers will build their own cabinets and create imaginative oddities to fill them.
Tell Me a Story
June 8-12, 2026 • 9am - 4pm
2-3 grade • $350/per person

Based on different children’s books, students create narratives through illustrations, comics and storytelling. In this magical storytelling art camp inspired by beloved children’s books, young artists will create drawings, paintings and 3-D sculptures to Illustrate favorite characters, build imaginative settings, and explore make-believe adventures. With paint, paper, and plenty of imagination, campers will discover delightful new ways to embellish and even add a new twist to a well-known tale.
Art to the Rescue

What if creativity could help save the ocean? ? In partnership with the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium, campers become ocean explorers and eco-artists, diving into coral reefs, deep seas, and marine habitats. Using recycled materials, mixed media, clay, and glow-in-the-dark techniques, they bring the ocean to life through art while learning how creativity can inspire care for our planet.
Rhythm Makers
June 15-19, 2026 • 9am - 4pm
2-6 grade • $350/per person

Hands-on exploration of rhythm and art where students build instruments and create dynamic rhythms. Make some joyful noise in a hands-on art and rhythm camp where sound and visual expression collide. Explore rhythms from around the world, play percussion, and discover patterns through drawing and painting. Using surprising materials, campers will build shakers, rain sticks, and drums, then create, play, and listen together joyfully every day.
Design an Anime Legend
June 22-26, 2026 • 9am - 4pm
6-8 grade • $350/per person

Introduce students to anime inspired illustration using digital tools. Create the hero or villain of your own anime legend using digital illustration tools. In this camp, artists design original characters, craft expressive faces, and build cinematic scenes while learning visual storytelling. From first sketch to final screen, you will develop an origin story, explore dynamic poses, and bring a bold new world to life. Students are encouraged to bring an iPad loaded with the Procreate app to class each day.
Draw Me a Star

Explore the cosmic universe and create with star shapes and lights. Inspired by Eric Carle’s book Draw Me a Star, young artists will blast off into a world of stars, shapes, and light. Campers will draw, imagine, and create through fun, open-ended projects that build confidence and creativity. With simple materials and big ideas, children will turn circles, lines, and sparkles into whole galaxies of art and stories.
Create Your Own Fairyland
July 6 - 10, 2026 • 9am - 4pm

Exploring the world of fairies. Step into a world of magic and imagination where young artists create tiny universes with very big personalities. Using natural and found materials, campers build fairylands, homes, and enchanted scenes where everything runs on moonlight or laughter, then invent stories and bring whimsical worlds to life.

From local rivers to rainforest streams, water connects every living thing. Held at the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium, campers will explore water’s journey across habitats and discover how rivers, lakes, rainforests, and oceans form one system. Inspired by animals and environments, kids will sketch, paint, print, and sculpt, creating art that splashes, flows, and tells watery stories.

Learn about jewelry design basics and explore more advanced techniques with wire, polymer clay and fused glass pendants. Create it. Fire it. Wear it. This jewelry camp is all about bold ideas and wearable art. Artists will experiment with polymer clay, wire, beads, paper, and fused glass to design pieces that explore color, texture, and personal style. From sculpted charms to statement necklaces and bracelets, campers will think like designers, and leave wearing art saying “I made it myself.”
Dino Land

Dinosaur themed creative exploration and crafts. Travel back to prehistoric times! Young paleontologists will explore the world of dinosaurs through hands-on art, creative building, and imaginative play. Campers will make fossils, build habitats, draw and collage dinos using basic shapes, and create their own dinosaur masks while learning about these amazing ancient creatures.

Students explore global art traditions and stamp their “passport”. Pack your bags for an artistic trip around the world. Campers will explore global art traditions and stamp their passport at each stop across six continents. Create projects inspired by different cultures while drawing, painting, sculpting, and working with mixed media. Along the way, students will learn new techniques and discover how art connects people everywhere.
Wabi-Sabi: Beauty of Imperfection

Explore the quiet beauty found in imperfection through natural textures and layered processes. Explore natural textures, layered processes, and the beauty of imperfect details. Inspired by the Japanese concept of Wabi-Sabi, campers will create projects that celebrate rough edges, interesting surfaces, and unique results. Through hands-on work, students will experiment with materials, build confidence, and learn that amazing art can come from unexpected and unfinished-looking places.

In this mixed media camp, learn about the underwater world, its habitats and strengthening your own artistic superpowers along the way!

Eco-art projects using reused materials and sustainability concept. Turn everyday trash into creative treasure. Campers will use recycled and unexpected materials to build, collage, and invent imaginative art projects. Through hands-on challenges, students will solve problems, think outside the box, and explore new ways to create. From cans to cardboard, anything can become art with a little ingenuity and a lot of imagination.
