Rhythm Makers • Bad Dog Studio

What happens when music and art collide? We will learn about music from different cultures exploring rhythm, beats, and sounds by playing a variety of percussion instruments. Discover rhythm, patterns, and repetition as you draw and paint in response to the sounds we hear in music. Using all types of unexpected objects and materials get creative building and playing your own instruments. We will have fun making shakers, rain sticks and drums!

Aquarium Art Camp • Loveland Living Planet Aquarium

Dive into a world of creativity with our first Aquarium Art Camp for Kids! This program invites young artists to explore the enchanting marine realm through various art forms and activities. From paintings of underwater scenes to sculptures inspired by sea creatures, campers will unleash their imaginations and express their love for the ocean. Through hands-on projects, interactive lessons, and visits to aquarium exhibits, participants will develop a deeper appreciation for the beauty and importance of our oceans. Say It With Color• Bad Dog Studio

Who needs words when we have color? Color allows us to express feelings and emotions. Join us to create art by using all the colors we can possibly find! How many colors can you think of? Learn the “magic” of mixing colors to make new colors while making fabulous drawings, paintings and sculptures.

We have partnered with Spyhop this summer! In the mornings you'll learn how to edit and create sound effects for your stop-motion creations from Week 1. Your afternoons will be spent at Bad Dog Arts, where you will get hands-on creative experience in art forms like painting and sculpting using a variety of materials.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun • Bad Dog Studio

June 17-21, 2024, • Grades 3-5 • 9:00 am-4:00 pm • $310

Have a blast in this girl’s only camp! We will explore our alter egos making art-rageous masks. Create wearable art and have fun putting on a Bad Dog fashion show at the end of the week. We will also create expressive artwork inspired by the work of famous female artists.

Dragons, Dragons, Dragons • Bad Dog Studio

June 24-28, 2024 • Grades 5-8 • 9:00 am – 4:00 pm • $310

From Hungarian Horntails to the Peruvian Vipertooth, we are going to explore the magnificent world of dragons. We will create a variety of dragon inspired art projects such as detailed dragon drawings, dragon collages, large ferocious paintings, and mixed media dragon sculptures.

Tell Me A Story • Bad Dog Studio

July 8-12, 2024 • Grades 1st-3rd • 9:00 am-4:00 pm • $310

Everyone has a story to tell! There are true to life stories, tall tales and magical make believe stories. Come play with your imagination as we learn to develop a story through setting and character creation! Make a simple Pop-Up book to tell your story.  We will also get inspired creating art based on some of our favorite books.

Creative Critters • Bad Dog Studio

July 15-19, 2024 • Grades K-1 • 9:00 am – 12:00 pm (Half Day Camp) • $155

So many different creatures walking, flying, slithering, and swimming on our planet. In this camp we will use our knowledge of bugs and animals we already know combined with our imaginations. Have fun inventing, drawing, painting, and sculpting new wacky critters no one has ever seen before!

Digital Art • Bad Dog Studio

July 22-23 & 25-26, 2024 (No camp 24th) • Grades 6-8 • 9am-12pm (Half Day Camp) • $120

Open up to the world of Digital Art. Procreate is a digital illustration app used by amateur and professional artists alike. Campers will learn the basic tools and easy tricks with the Procreate program, such as layers, highlights, shadows, shapes, brushes, colors, etc. Students will design one of kind vinyl stickers, custom cards, tote bags art work and much more!

• Bring your own iPad and Apple Pencil with the Procreate App already installed
• Procreate is a great value at only $9.99. Find it on the Apple App Store
• BDA has 6 iPads and Apple Pencils for students who do not have their own
• Make it a full day and stay for Intro to Fused Glass (optional). Be sure to bring your lunch.

Intro To Fused Glass • Bad Dog Studio

July 22-23 & 25-26, 2024 (No camp 24th) • Grades 6-8 • 1pm-4pm (Half Day Camp) • $205 (includes $50 materials and firing fee)

Fused Glass, sometimes called warm glass or kiln formed glass is a process of creating art objects by melting glass in a kiln. The magic of transforming glass from one form to another is part art and part science. Campers will learn how to score and cut glass, work with tools, and work with color in new ways. Space is limited to 8 students, so sign up early. Kids will be so proud to say, “I made this!”

Desert Detour • Bad Dog Studio

July 29 – August 2, 2024 • Grades 2-3 • 9:00 am - 4:00 pm • $310

A detour is a diversion off the main road. At first glance the desert seems to be desolate place, but take a closer look and you will realize there are many living things that call this land home and have been there for a long time. Explore this spectacular landscape with cave drawings, animal sculptures, and mixed media collages.

All aboard the Bad Dog Express! Join us as we reinvent the imaginative world of Harry Potter. Create your own wand, experiment with colorful potions, write new spells and decide what other mysterious creatures lurk in the Dark Forest! Sign up now to artistically resist He-Who-Must-Be-Named.
